1988
IPEVE Instituto de Pesquisas Veterinárias Especializadas Ltda. was founded in Belo Horizonte (MG), Brazil. IPEVE became a pioneer in veterinary diagnostics and autogenous vaccines.
1992
SANPHAR Saúde Animal Ltda. was founded in Campinas (SP), Brazil as an animal health company focusing on the development, production, import and export of veterinary products.
2005
ANICON Labor GmbH (“Animal Control”) was founded in Höltinghausen, Germany. At that time, the business focused on veterinary diagnostics, food safety, and small-scale avian autogenous vaccines. Later the business was expanded to diagnostics for turkey and waterfowl production in Germany as well as swine, cattle, and fish.
2007
SANPHAR was bought by Erber Group, a global multinational at that time headquartered in Austria and owned by Erich Erber.
2014
ANICON produces In-Vitro-Diagnostics (IVD) under its own brand KYLT®.
2019
SANPHAR acquired IPEVE. This enabled SANPHAR an entry into the market of veterinary vaccines.
2020
Sale of the majority of Erber Group to Royal DSM, a Dutch multinational, and carve-out of SANPHAR to become part of SAN Group, an international enterprise headquartered in Austria and founded by Erich Erber in the same year. This transition marked the international expansion of SANPHAR.
2021
ANICON was bought by SAN Group. Founding of SAN Vet Holding GmbH in Herzogenburg, Austria, as an umbrella to the newly created animal health business unit SAN Vet.
2022
Launch of the new SAN Vet brand at the IPVS at Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Integration of Sanphar Saúde Animal Ltda. and IPEVE Instituto de Pesquisas Veterinárias Especializadas Ltda. into SAN Group Biotech Brasil Ltda. and re-branding to SAN Vet.
